The Community Housing

Worker role at Safe at Home Society allows you to support individuals facing homelessness through direct assistance and compassionate engagement.

Your responsibilities will encompass training staff, crisis intervention, and managing conflict effectively. By using a client-centered approach, you'll help residents develop vital life skills and maintain their housing stability. Key Responsibilities:

- Guide new staff in established protocols and practices
- Create support plans and engage in resident activities




- Administer first aid and coordinate emergency responses
- Oversee cleanliness and safety of common spaces
- Implement harm reduction strategies with residents

Requirements:

- Post-secondary education in social work or related field
- Experience working with vulnerable populations in Whitehorse
- Robust mediation and conflict management skills
- Certification in First Aid is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems
