About Us:

Cliffside Hearth Bread Company is a family-owned and operated bakery located in Scarborough Ontario. We are a handcraft scratch bakery using only the finest ingredients. Our bread production consists of Sourdough breads, Traditional baguettes and assorted Brioche products. We also make a variety of Tarts, Cookies, Squares, Croissants and Fruit Pies and Savoury items.

We are seeking an Assistant Bread Baker with a positive attitude and strong work ethic who is genuinely passionate about artisanal bread. The right candidate is looking to advance their knowledge in the baking field. This is a great learning opportunity to join our talented and supportive team.

Responsibilities:

- Able to follow recipes and production schedules
- Process bread doughs through all stages, from fermentation to final baking including; mixing, shaping, molding, proofing, and baking
- Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and appearance.
- Meet production deadlines to ensure packaging and delivery schedules are met.




- Keep workstations clean and organized
- Follow food safety regulations
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Work efficiently in a high-volume setting while multitasking
- Work early morning hours

Qualifications:

- Experience working with sourdough bread is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate
- Positive attitude and a desire to learn Sourdough bread baking craft
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Strong time management skills
- Food Handler’s certification required

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: Starting at $19.50 per hour with opportunity for advancement
