Bugden Signs Limited is currently seeking a full-time service and installation technician to join our team. We are a locally owned and operated sign company that has provided design, manufacturing, installation, and servicing of illuminated and non-illuminated signage to Newfoundland and Labrador for over 30 years.

The sign industry is a very fast-paced environment, and requires a self-motivated, hardworking individual to fill the position of sign fabricator. The position is available immediately with full-time hours and to ensure our customers receive the highest quality products and services, extended hours and/or weekends will be required when necessary. This could include daytime travel as well as overnight travel.

Duties include:

- Complete all tasks on service work orders

- Complete paperwork including: JSA's (Job safety analysis forms), quality control forms, time tracking, and inspection forms.

- Liaison with customers on-site

- Diagnose and complete required service of illuminated & non-illuminated signage

- Complete detailed technical surveys of future fabrication & installation projects

- Follow all company safety procedures and comply with PPE requirements

- Perform inspections including vehicles, cranes, bucket ladder attachments, trailers, safety equipment etc. and complete required paperwork.

- Perform regular maintenance and maintenance checks to vehicles, cranes, bucket ladders, trailers and other equipment

- Maintain stock of service vehicles

Requirements:

- Valid driver’s license, and drivers abstract

- Comfortable with heights (Ladder & Bucket trucks & Cranes)

- Experience with electrical components and lighting

- Transparent Code of Conduct

- Desire to work outside




Ability to work well with a team, but also solve problems and find solutions independently.

- Ability to multi-task

- Strong attention to detail

- Knowledge of, and ability to work with power tools, hand tools, etc.
Strong verbal and written English

Assets:

- Safety Certificates valid in NL, such as, First Aid, Fall Protection, Powerline Hazard, and WHMIS would be considered an asset.

- Experience in the sign industry is an asset, but not necessary as we will train

- Experience in Light Crane operation would be an asset

Hired candidate will be required to provide:
