The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Junior Engineer / Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our growing consulting team in Metro Vancouver. In this role, you will work directly with senior consultants and client personnel to analyze asset hierarchies, evaluate maintenance strategies, audit field conditions, and help build robust asset management frameworks for critical industrial infrastructure.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on technical experience while developing high-value client-facing management consulting skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Asset Management & Data Hierarchy: Assist in developing and cleansing asset taxonomies, equipment registries, and asset hierarchies aligned with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 14224 / ISO 55000) across Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) / CMMS platforms (e.g., JDE, Cityworks, Maximo).
- Maintenance & Reliability Analysis: Support Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement studies to optimize preventative maintenance routines.
- Operational Readiness:



Help prepare maintenance strategies, spare parts reviews, and commissioning/handover protocols for capital projects and equipment retrofits.
- Field Assessments & Audits: Conduct site visits and field inspections at industrial terminals and infrastructure facilities to gather baseline asset health data and verify physical equipment records.
- Reporting & Client Deliverables: Synthesize complex data into clear, actionable technical reports, client presentations, and dashboard models.

Technical Qualifications & Experience

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Industrial, or Systems Engineering (or equivalent).
- Professional Registration: Eligible for registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with EGBC (Engineers and Geoscientists BC).
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with heavy industrial equipment, mechanical systems, or materials handling infrastructure (ports, marine terminals, mining, or processing facilities).
- Technical Concepts: Exposure to asset management principles, maintenance reliability techniques (RCM, FMEA, failure coding), or ERP/CMMS systems is considered a strong asset.
- Data & Analytics: Proficiency with Excel (data modeling, advanced formulas)



and structured problem-solving tools; experience with BI tools or data alignment projects is a plus.

What We Offer

- Salary Range: $68,000 – $90,000 CAD per annum, based on experience.
