About Us:
Kinnect Support Services partners with agencies and organizations to provide trained relief staff who support adolescents, youth, adults, and seniors experiencing behavioral, social, emotional, physical, or psychiatric challenges. Our team delivers high-quality support in various community and residential settings.

Work Responsibilities:
As a Social Service Worker Practitioner, you will:

- Engage clients in shelters and day treatment programs.
- Support clients with daily routines, recreation, behavioral management, and life skills education.
- Provide daily supervision of residents.
- Maintain residential routines, including household chores, cleaning, and workspace organization.
- Support clients with prescribed medication routines, including documentation where applicable.
- Complete daily logs, incident reports, medication charts, and other legal documentation with clear and accurate English.
- Attend appointments with clients as needed.
- Adhere to all agency and Ministry policies, Health & Safety standards, and provincial protocols.

Qualifications:

- Diploma or degree in Social Service Work, Child & Youth Worker, Community Service Worker, or related program.
- Experience supporting clients with Autism, Mental Health, Behavioral, or Developmental challenges in a group home or similar setting.
- Current Police Reference Check or willingness to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check.




- Up-to-date immunization records, including 2 doses of COVID-19 vaccination.
- Valid Standard First Aid Certificate, including Level C CPR.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Positive, sensitive, and adaptable approach toward clients and colleagues.
- Physically able to participate in indoor and outdoor recreational activities.

- Team player with effective problem-solving skills.
- Strong public relations skills to maintain positive relationships with residents and families.
- Ability to organize workload efficiently and respond effectively to unexpected situations.
- Competent in operating related equipment.

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Experience:

- Homeless shelter : 2 years (required)
- Child and Youth Workers: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- CPI (required)
