STEM Instructor: Coding & Robotics

Genius Camp is seeking enthusiastic instructors to lead STEM-based learning activities in coding and robotics. Our organization was founded by experienced engineers who are committed to creating engaging, practical learning opportunities for children and youth.

Our programs focus on helping students understand STEM concepts through hands-on projects, real-world challenges, and interactive activities. We strive to create a positive classroom environment where students can build technical skills while having fun.

We are looking for an instructor with a STEM background who is comfortable working with young children. Familiarity with Scratch and/or Python is recommended.

Position Details

Location: In person at 306 Lawrence Ave E, North York, ON
Student Group: SK to Grade 1
Schedule: Monday and/or Wednesday and/or Thursday and/or Friday
Hours: 3:30–4:30 PM, one hour per week

Significant: Applicants must be able to reliably commute to the location for every scheduled class. Please do not apply if your transportation or commute would prevent you from arriving consistently and on time.

Key Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Engineering, Computer Science, or another STEM-related field, or currently pursuing one
- At least one year of experience in programming, robotics, coding instruction, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of programming, including Scratch and/or Python
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to confidently manage a group of up to 10 young students
- Ability to maintain a structured, positive,



and engaging classroom environment
- Patient, energetic, dependable, and comfortable working with children
- Passionate about STEM, coding, robotics, and hands-on learning
- Previous experience teaching coding or robotics is an asset
- Comfortable communicating professionally with parents when required
- Must have reliable transportation or a dependable commute to 306 Lawrence Ave E
- Must be able to arrive on time and consistently attend scheduled classes
- Training will be provided

This is an in-person position at 306 Lawrence Ave E, North York, ON. Candidates must be confident that they can reliably commute to this location for each scheduled shift and arrive on time. Please consider your transportation and travel time carefully before applying.
