About the Role

Blackline Aluminum is seeking an experienced and hands on Assembly Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our assembly department. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising employees, coordinating production activities, maintaining quality and productivity standards, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

This position requires a strong leader who can effectively manage people, prioritize production requirements, address operational issues, and work closely with other departments to meet project and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of employees within the Assembly Department.
- Assign work based on production schedules, priorities, employee skills, and operational requirements.
- Monitor daily production output and ensure production targets and deadlines are achieved.
- Review staffing, production workload, and operational coverage to ensure adequate resources are available.
- Provide clear instructions and direction to employees regarding daily tasks and production priorities.
- Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, performance, productivity, and workplace conduct.
- Identify production delays, staffing shortages, material shortages, equipment issues, or other operational concerns and escalate them to management when required.
- Ensure employees follow approved assembly drawings, specifications, procedures, and quality requirements.
- Inspect completed work and ensure products meet company quality standards before proceeding to the next stage of production.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Shipping, Inventory, and other departments to coordinate workflow.
- Ensure materials, tools, equipment, and information required for production are available.




- Train and support new and existing employees on assembly procedures, equipment, quality requirements, and safe work practices.
- Provide coaching and feedback to employees and communicate performance concerns to Human Resources and management.
- Assist with employee performance evaluations and recommend additional training or corrective action where appropriate.
- Ensure housekeeping and organization standards are maintained within the department.
- Participate in production meetings and provide updates regarding staffing, productivity, delays, quality concerns, and operational issues.

Health & Safety Responsibilities

- Ensure employees comply with all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Enforce the proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Conduct regular observations of the work area and immediately address unsafe conditions or practices.
- Ensure incidents, injuries, hazards, and near misses are reported promptly.
- Participate in workplace inspections, investigations, corrective actions, and safety initiatives as required.
- Ensure employees receive appropriate training before performing assigned tasks.
- Promote a positive safety culture and lead by example.

Qualifications

- Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory or team-lead experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience in aluminum, glazing, curtain wall, window wall,



architectural products, construction manufacturing, or a related industry is considered a strong asset.
- Strong knowledge of assembly and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and understand production drawings, shop drawings, measurements, and specifications.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively supervise and motivate a diverse production team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple production requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to quality and detail.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, managers, and other departments.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience in aluminum window wall, curtain wall, railing, glazing, or architectural manufacturing.

The successful candidate should demonstrate strong leadership, professionalism, reliability, and the ability to maintain productivity and quality while promoting a secure and respectful workplace.

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
