Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary habits to prevent dental issues.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures with efficiency and professionalism.
- Manage patient records using dental practice management software such as progident, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Provide support with orthodontic care by assisting with appliance adjustments and patient instructions.
- Communicate clearly with patients in multiple languages (bilingual preferred) to ensure understanding of treatment plans and post-care instructions.
- Maintain a clean,



organized operatories and sterilize instruments following infection control standards.
- Support pediatric patients by creating a friendly environment that eases anxiety and encourages positive dental experiences.
- Contribute to a team-oriented atmosphere by collaborating with dental assistants, front office staff, and specialists.

Skills

- Proficiency in progident or similar dental practice management software for scheduling, charting, and billing.
- Knowledge of orthodontics procedures and appliances is highly desirable.
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
- Strong background in dental assisting techniques combined with excellent customer service skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced dental office environment with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry for accurate documentation and communication.
- Passion for pediatric dentistry with the ability to make young patients comfortable during visits.

Pay: $38.82-$61.90 per hour
