Automotive Detailer – CARSTAR Owen Sound (Opening Soon!)

CARSTAR Owen Sound is opening soon and we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Automotive Detailer to join our team!

As an Automotive Detailer, you will be responsible for ensuring every repaired vehicle leaves our facility in immaculate condition. This role is the final step in the repair process and plays a key part in maintaining CARSTAR’s reputation for high-quality work and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Vehicle Detailing & Quality Finishing:

- Perform preliminary wash of vehicles during the check-in process
- Complete full interior and exterior details before customer delivery
- Apply cleaning, protective, and restorative products to meet CARSTAR standards
- Operate detailing tools and equipment (vacuums, hoses, pressure washers, buffers, etc.)

Shop & Vehicle Flow Support:

- Document vehicle images and mileage during check-in and check-out
- Move, park, and position vehicles safely around the property
- Assist with vehicle pick-up and delivery as needed
- Ensure all vehicles are locked and secured at the end of the workday
- Maintain a clean and organized wash bay and detailing area

Operational Support:

- Monitor detailing supply inventory and notify management when restocking is required




- Support managers and technicians with workflow and shop productivity
- Report concerns related to vehicle cleanliness, damage, or inconsistencies
- Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications

- Valid Class G Ontario driver’s licence
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
- Physically able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and lift for extended periods
- Automotive detailing or auto body experience is an asset (not required)
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work both independently and in a fast-paced team workplace

Experience (Preferred but Not Required)

- Automotive shop experience: 1 year
- Detailing experience: 1 year
