Lotus Kitchen & Bar is a modern Asian fusion restaurant in downtown Halifax. We offer creative Asian cuisine, cocktails, and a lively dining experience with a strong focus on efficient teamwork, guest care, and consistent service.
We are looking for an Experienced Bartender / Server to join our front-of-house team. This role is ideal for someone who is confident behind the bar, comfortable serving tables, and able to stay organized during a quick-paced dinner service.
Position: Experienced Bartender / Server
Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service to guests
- Take food and beverage orders accurately
- Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Maintain bar cleanliness, organization, and stock levels
- Recommend menu items and answer guest questions confidently
- Monitor tables and maintain smooth service flow
- Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house team members
- Handle POS transactions accurately
- Follow responsible alcohol service and restaurant policies
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of serving or bartending experience preferred
- Valid Serve Right certification required
- Bartending experience is strongly preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good table awareness and attention to detail
- Positive attitude, reliability, and teamwork mindset
- Evening and weekend availability preferred
