Job Overview

We are actively seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Dispatcher to coordinate transportation activities within our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, technical proficiency with transportation management systems, and a comprehensive understanding of freight logistics and shipping procedures. As a Logistics Dispatcher, you will be responsible for scheduling shipments, managing freight movements, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency. Duties

- Utilize transportation management systems to plan, schedule, and monitor freight shipments across multiple carriers and routes.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to arrange pickups, deliveries, and tracking updates.
- Enter data accurately into systems such as AS400 and SyteLine to ensure real-time visibility of shipments and inventory status.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and clients via multi-line phone systems to provide updates and resolve issues promptly.
- Analyze shipping data to identify inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and support overall supply chain optimization.
- Oversee shipping and receiving activities to ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
- Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities, shipment statuses,



and related documentation for reporting purposes.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to foster positive relationships with internal teams and external partners.

Experience

- Proven experience in logistics coordination or dispatching within a supply chain environment.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), freight tracking tools, and shipping software such as AS400 or SyteLine.
- Strong data entry skills coupled with analysis capabilities to interpret logistical data effectively.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, freight regulations, and warehouse operations.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently.
- Ability to perform detailed analysis of logistics processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PL) is preferred but not mandatory; relevant technical skills are essential.
