Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in daily food preparation and service. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring that all food safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a willingness to learn and grow within our team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients for meal service
- Support cooking activities under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers/ supervisor
- Help with food handling and storage to ensure freshness and safety standards are maintained
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Serve food to customers or staff as directed, ensuring proper portioning and presentation
- Assist with dishwashing and sanitation duties to uphold hygiene standards in the kitchen
- Follow all safety procedures related to food handling, cooking, and cleaning processes
- Most of the shifts will be evenings,
nights and weekends
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred
- Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety standards
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and food handling
