The Department of Families is seeking a qualified candidates to fill a Child and Family Services Liaison (Youth Reaching Age of Majority) position in Winnipeg.

Duties:
The Child and Family Services (CFS) Liaison (Youth Reaching Age of Majority) supports system-wide planning for youth transitioning from CFS involvement into adulthood. The position focuses on identifying youth at key transition points, supporting coordinated planning with CFS agencies, and strengthening connections to adult service systems and community supports to improve outcomes for youth. Working as part of a central team that includes Child and Family Services, Employment and Income Assistance (EIA), and Community Living disABILITY Services (CLDS), the CFS Liaison collaborates with a broad range of cross-government and community partners to create better outcomes for youth and young adults.

Qualifications:
Essential:

- Post-secondary education in the social sciences, preferably a Bachelor of Social Work. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience working within child welfare, youth services, or a related human services system.
- Experience supporting youth or young adults with complex needs, including those involved with the child welfare system.
- Experience working with Manitoba’s child welfare legislation, policies, and practice frameworks to support youth involved in the child welfare system and transition planning.




- Experience coordinating services and collaborating with multiple stakeholders across government and community-based organizations.
- Strong analytical skills, including experience collecting, tracking, and interpreting data to inform practice and planning.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate or deliver difficult messages or information to clients and stakeholders.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise correspondence, reports, and other written materials for a variety of audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple tasks in a high-volume work environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
