We are an Ottawa commercial real estate advisory firm working with tenants, owners, and institutional clients. Our team covers brokerage, workplace strategy, design, project management, and property management, which means we do not just find our clients a lease. We help them figure out what kind of workplace they actually need, then build it.

We are looking for a business development professional to open doors and start those conversations.

What you will do

- Build and work a pipeline of prospective tenant and owner clients across the Ottawa region
- Prospect actively through outbound calling, email, LinkedIn, industry events, and your existing network
- Research target organizations, spot lease expiry and growth triggers, and reach out with something worth reading
- Qualify opportunities and bring the right RealStrategy advisors into the room at the right moment
- Represent the firm at industry, association, and community events
- Support proposals and pitch materials with market research and client insight
- Keep the CRM accurate and current so the whole team can see what is moving
- Work alongside our brokerage, workplace strategy, and project management teams to shape offerings clients actually want

Who we are looking for

You are curious about businesses and the people who run them. You are comfortable picking up the phone. You would rather ask a valuable question than deliver a polished monologue.

Required

- Three or more years in a business development, sales, or client-facing role




- A demonstrated record of building relationships from a cold start
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort with CRM tools and a disciplined approach to follow-up
- Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle for client meetings across the region
- Legally entitled to work in Canada

Backgrounds we are especially interested in

- Commercial real estate brokerage. You already know how deals come together and who the players are in this market.
- Construction, general contracting, or interior fit-out. You understand what it takes to turn a space into a workplace, and you have relationships with the people who commission that work.
- Commercial furniture, workplace furnishings, or design. You have sat across from facilities managers and executives during a move or a refresh, and you know what keeps them up at night.

If your experience sits next to one of these rather than squarely inside it, tell us why it translates. We would rather read that than a generic cover letter.

Nice to have

- Registration with the Real Estate Council of Ontario, or a willingness to pursue it
- Familiarity with the Ottawa market, including the federal government leasing landscape
- Bilingualism in English and French

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
