Action Glass Inc.® is looking for an experienced Commercial Door & Hardware Service Technician to join our service team.

We are looking for someone with robust hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting and servicing commercial door and entrance systems. This position is best suited to a technician who understands how the complete door system works and can diagnose problems in the field.

What You'll Work On

The successful candidate should have experience with:

- Commercial aluminum storefront doors and entrances
- Commercial steel doors and frames
- Door closers
- Concealed and surface-mounted closers
- Offset, centre-hung and continuous pivots/hinges
- Panic and exit devices
- Mortise and cylindrical locks
- Deadlocks, cylinders and related locking hardware
- Push/pull hardware
- Thresholds and sweeps
- Weatherstripping and door seals
- Door alignment, clearances and adjustments
- Replacement and installation of commercial door hardware
- Troubleshooting doors that are dragging, binding, slamming or not closing/latching properly
- Glass and glazing associated with commercial doors and entrances

Experience with automatic door systems is an asset but not required

- Has previous commercial door and hardware service experience
- Can troubleshoot problems rather than simply replace parts
- Understands how different components of a commercial entrance work together
- Can identify worn, damaged or incorrectly adjusted hardware




- Is comfortable working independently in the field
- Takes pride in clean, professional workmanship
- Communicates well with customers and other team members
- Has a valid driver's licence and a good driving record
- Is dependable, organized and safety-conscious

Glazing experience and/or a Red Seal Glazier certification would be an asset, but our priority is finding someone with strong commercial door and hardware knowledge.
