We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator for a well-established clients in the Coquitlam / Port Coquitlam area.

Our client in Coquitlam is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment operations. This role involves verifying orders, receiving deliveries, updating inventory systems, preparing shipments, cycle counting, and maintaining warehouse organization. Candidates must have experience operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts, strong computer skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines. Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shifts
Pay Rate: $22.00–$26.00 per hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities:

- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts safely
- Load and unload flat decks, trailers, and delivery trucks
- Move steel products throughout the warehouse and yard
- Assist with cutting steel materials
- Verify incoming and outgoing orders for accuracy
- Receive deliveries and inspect shipments
- Pick, pack, stage, and prepare customer orders
- Perform shipping, receiving, and inventory control duties
- Complete cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy
- Update inventory using warehouse or ERP systems
- Prepare shipping documents and coordinate courier pickups
- Learn and perform rigging duties (training provided)




- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all health and safety procedures
- Perform general warehouse duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:

- Ability to safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Previous shipping and receiving experience, preferably in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Strong understanding of order fulfillment processes and warehouse procedures.
- Experience with inventory control systems, MRP systems, and warehouse operations.
- Strong attention to detail with accurate math and counting skills.
- Knowledge of loading and unloading various shipment types.
- Professional communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Computer proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and rush orders.

Requirements:

- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Proven experience operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
- Professional presentation and communication skills.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety focused.
