Position Title: Shovel Operator (Mining Operations) - 7x7

Salary Range: $50/Hour + Over-time ($58.33/hr over a 12 hour day)

For our client, a busy mine operation (drive-to-site only) , we are on the hunt for an experienced Shovel Operator. Our client operates on a 7x7 schedule. Ideally, we'd like someone with experience operating a PC7000. Pay is $50/hr plus OT after 8 hours per day. The work schedule is 12 hours per day, 7 days on / 7 days off. The mine site is located near Chetwynd, BC, and as such, you need to live within an 8 hour drive. We pay $0.50/km for mileage, provide a per diem for meals, and provide lodging. We are looking for someone who is not currently working and can start immediately.

We are looking for those individuals with a strong work ethic and a valuable employment track-record and a demonstrated safety record

Main Accountabilities:

- Operate heavy equipment machinery, PC7000 Shovels
- Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.

Main Qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years experience operating heavy equipment




- Thorough knowledge of the safe operation of the equipment
- Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure
- Ability to work in harsh weather conditions
- Ability to work independently and with little supervision
- Previous fly-in/fly-out experience an asset
- Must be able to identify hazards and perform the role in a safe manner
- Must also possess an understanding of the issues regarding safety and the ability to work in and implement safe work practices and contribute to a safe work environment

CERTIFICATIONS or Credentials

All of the below are assets to have - we will review on a case by case basis

- CSTS-09 or Other Safety Training
- Valid Class 5 license or related/equivalent with a clean drivers abstract
- Valid Ground Disturbance Level 2 or related training
Heavy Equipment Operators Certificate
