Job Description: Gutter Balls Restaurant, located inside Marcin Bowl, is a vibrant and high-volume venue with over 90 seats in the restaurant and over 300 seats in the bowling area. We’re licensed for up to 450 guests and host more than 1,600 league bowlers weekly during the September–May season, plus countless recreational bowlers and diners year-round.

We’re currently hiring a Kitchen Cook for a hybrid role that includes breakfast, line cook, and pizza maker responsibilities. This is a hands-on kitchen position perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and takes pride in delivering consistent, high-quality food.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Food Preparation & Cooking

- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items including pizzas and standard breakfast/lunch/dinner options
- Follow all portioning, recipe, and presentation standards
- Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and served on time and at the proper temperature
- Assemble and bake pizzas using a commercial oven

Kitchen Organization & Cleanliness

- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the shift
- Perform opening, closing, and mid-shift duties including station setup and restocking
- Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures

Inventory & Stock

- Monitor food inventory levels and report shortages to kitchen leadership
- Assist in stock rotation, labeling, and organization

Teamwork & Communication





- Work collaboratively with front-of-house and back-of-house staff to coordinate meal timing
- Communicate clearly with the Head Chef and team members

Compliance & Safety

- Adhere to all health and safety regulations (including Food Handler certification)
- Use proper techniques to avoid cross-contamination, especially with allergy and dietary restrictions

Position Details:

- Day, evening, and closing shifts available

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2 year of cooking experience (bread and pizza-making experience strongly preferred)
- Food Handler Certificate (Food Safe, SafeCheck, or equivalent) required
- Strong time management and multitasking skills
- Positive, professional attitude and ability to work under pressure

Pay: $17.60
Expected Hours: 30–40 per week
