Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Volunteer HR Manager to lead our human resources initiatives for Robokido GTA, a kids coding and robotics education program. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage talent acquisition, program management, and employee relations while driving process improvements. The Volunteer HR Manager will play a vital role in supporting our team’s growth and ensuring a positive, productive environment for staff and volunteers alike.
Responsibilities
- Lead talent acquisition efforts by sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding qualified candidates.
- Manage all aspects of human resources management, including employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Oversee program management tasks related to volunteer coordination, scheduling, and training & development initiatives.
- Implement process improvements to streamline HR workflows utilizing tools.
- Conduct data collection and analysis to monitor HR metrics, improve recruitment strategies, and enhance overall HR processes.
- Negotiate employment terms with candidates and volunteers to ensure mutually beneficial agreements aligned with organizational policies.
- Supervise HR-related activities such as payroll processing, budgeting for HR programs,
and maintaining compliance with relevant labor laws.
Experience
- Demonstrated experience in human resources management with a focus on change management and talent acquisition.
- Proven track record of supervising teams or managing volunteer programs within educational or non-profit settings.
- Preferably knowledge of ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems), HRIS platforms like Workday or Oracle HCM, and payroll systems such as ADP or Kronos.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and build positive relationships across diverse teams.
- Familiarity with recruiting strategies, HR sourcing techniques, and interviewing best practices.
- Experience with process improvement initiatives using tools like SAP SuccessFactors or PeopleSoft is highly desirable and a plus.
- Ability to analyze data effectively for decision-making purposes related to employee engagement and program effectiveness.
