Floater Dispatcher

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Floater Dispatcher to join our client's transportation team in Mississauga.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in dispatch. Training will be provided, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to transition into a Full-Time Dispatcher position in the near future based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities

- Assist with daily dispatch operations and driver coordination.
- Support the dispatch team with scheduling and route assignments.
- Communicate with drivers regarding schedules, routes, pickups, and deliveries.
- Monitor driver progress and assist with resolving operational issues.
- Handle schedule changes, delays, and last-minute requests.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records and documentation.
- Communicate professionally with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
- Provide coverage and support to dispatchers when required.
- Assist with tracking shipments and deliveries.
- Follow company policies, safety procedures,



and transportation regulations.
- Perform other dispatch-related duties as required.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in dispatch, transportation, logistics, or a related field is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working flexible and varying shifts.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn dispatch software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
