We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Roommate Attender/Respite Need professional to provide essential support and care for individuals with diverse needs in a residential setting. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Provide medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Support residents with activities of daily living to promote independence and engagement.
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living space.
- Monitor residents’ health status,
report any changes or concerns promptly to supervisors or healthcare professionals.
- Engage residents in social activities and companionship to enhance emotional well-being.
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments preferred.
- Knowledge of patient care practices, including dementia care and hospice support.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly valued.
- Familiarity with caregiving tasks such as meal preparation, medication administration, and light cleaning.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Robust communication skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving.
