Insight Global is seeking a Structural Designer on behalf of a leading engineering consulting firm specializing in transportation and municipal infrastructure projects. This individual will join a growing Bridges & Structures team and play a key role in the technical design and delivery of bridge, culvert, and retaining wall projects across Ontario. We are looking for a design-focused qualified who is passionate about structural infrastructure and wants to continue growing within a drafting and design career path. This is not an EIT or engineering track role. Instead, the ideal candidate will come from a Civil Engineering Technology background and possess strong technical design skills, particularly in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Structural Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.

- 2-5+ years of structural design experience within an engineering consulting environment. - Strong proficiency with:

- AutoCAD- Civil 3D

- Working toward, or currently holding, a C.Tech or C.E.T designation.

- Experience supporting transportation, bridge, culvert, retaining wall,



or municipal infrastructure projects.

- Familiarity with Ontario design standards, including: OPSS (Ontario Provincial Standard Specifications)- OPSD (Ontario Provincial Standard Drawings)

- Ability to contribute with minimal training in a quick-paced project environment.

- MTO experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience collaborating directly with municipalities.

Previous experience with consulting firms such as GHD, WSP, CIMA+, Tatham

Engineering, or similar organizations.

3+ years of structural design experience.

Experience working on MTO-related projects.

Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Peterborough, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
