Position summary:

The Rehabilitation Assistant carries out delegated patient treatment as prescribed by the Physiotherapists and Chiropractors and assists the therapists in patient-related activities.

Responsibilities includes

· Conducts individual therapy sessions under the direction of the Physiotherapist (PT) or Chiropractor

· Monitors and progresses Motor Vehicle Accident patient’s therapy program as needed.

· Positions patients and performs range of motion exercises directed and assigned by the Physiotherapist or Chiropractor

· Trains and instructs patients in completing Activities of Daily Living under the supervision of the Physiotherapist or Chiropractor

· Provides assistance to the Chiropractor and Physiotherapist during treatment.

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications/experience:

- Graduate from a recognized Kinesiology/ Physiotherapist Assistant program (PREFERRED)




- Experience in a Rehabilitation/Complex Continuing Care or MVA Rehab clinic preferred.
- Previous experience working with patients with fractures and post-accident symptomatology or similar under the direction of a Chiropractor/Physiotherapist
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Effective verbal and written communication in English, Russian (preferred) to successfully work with all levels of the organization
- Excellent time management and organizational skills

Previous education or work experience as a massage therapist in your home country would be considered an asset.
