Qualifications – Ontario Healthcare Facility

- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Minimum 5 years of recent Canadian Emergency Department nursing experience (required)
- Current CTAS (Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale) certification
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- Current TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
- Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- Previous experience with Expanse and PCC is required
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: 3-month assignment with possibility of extension
- Must be willing to drive between sites as required
- Must be comfortable working independently, including being the sole ER RN on shift during nights and weekends
- Accommodations: Provided

- Hours: Full-time
- Overtime: Applicable

Responsibilities:
Registered Nurses are required to adhere to the scope of practice as defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, triage patients, and provide emergency nursing care in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Independently manage a wide range of emergency presentations, particularly during overnight and weekend shifts with limited on-site nursing support
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions while monitoring patient responses and escalating care when required
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using Expanse and PCC while ensuring continuity of care




- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals across multiple sites and ensure compliance with professional standards, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety requirements

Note: Duties may vary slightly based on facility and shift, with specific guidance provided during site orientation.

Experience:

- 5 years of relevant Canadian Emergency Department nursing experience (required)
- Previous experience working independently in an Emergency Department is strongly preferred
- Experience working as the sole ER RN on nights and weekends is an asset
- Previous experience with Expanse and PCC is required
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong clinical judgment and adaptability in high-pressure emergency situations

- Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation, medication administration, and patient monitoring
- Ability to confidently make independent clinical decisions and respond to emergency situations
