Kitchen Assistant

ROOST Café is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced café environment, take pride in preparing quality food, and work well as part of a team, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

- Prepare sandwiches, avocado toast, breakfast items, and other light café meals
- Assist with food preparation for daily service
- Prepare ingredients and complete prep work for the following day
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Support the kitchen team with other daily tasks as needed

Qualifications

- Previous kitchen or food service experience is an asset, but not required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong attention to cleanliness and food quality
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently




- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Food Handler Certificate is an asset
