Job description/ Mine Site Setting

Key Responsibilities

- Material Handling: Safely operate a wheel loader to feed crushing plants, load haul trucks, or stockpile materials
- Equipment Inspections: Conduct comprehensive pre-shift and daily circle checks (fluids, tire pressure, hydraulics, and safety features) to ensure operational readiness
- Site Cleanliness: Maintain pit floors, clear haul roads, clean up around primary shovels, and push snow/debris depending on seasonal requirements
- Safety & Hazard Reporting: Perform field-level risk assessments, identify workplace hazards, and immediately report mechanical faults or unsafe conditions to the shift supervisor
- Communication: Maintain constant, explicit communication with Supervisors, haul truck operators, and operator crews using a two-way radio

Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of continuous experience operating large-scale (CAT 966-986) wheel loaders in a heavy industrial or mining environment
- Valid G (or DZ/AZ) Driver’s License with a clean driver's abstract.




- Surface Common Core Certification is a strong asset for Ontario-based open-pit mine sites
- Physical & Environmental Demands: Ability to work up to 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights) in all weather conditions.
