About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Dispatcher to support our operations team. This role is ideal for someone with transportation experience who wants to grow into a full dispatch position. You'll work closely with experienced dispatchers, drivers, and customers while learning all aspects of fleet operations.

This is a busy role requiring strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities throughout the day.

Responsibilities

- Assist dispatchers with daily fleet planning and driver communication
- Monitor loads and provide shipment updates
- Track appointments and ensure drivers have required load information
- Support routing and scheduling activities
- Communicate with drivers regarding changes, delays, and operational updates
- Enter and maintain accurate information within dispatch systems
- Research load details, customer requirements, and operational information
- Help resolve day-to-day service issues and scheduling conflicts
- Build positive relationships with drivers and customers
- Provide administrative support to the operations team as required

Qualifications

- 1-3 years of transportation,



logistics, dispatch, customer service, or fleet operations experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
- Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities
- Dependable with solid attendance and work ethic
- Self-motivated and eager to grow within the transportation industry
- Computer proficiency and ability to learn dispatch software quickly

Location: Winnipeg, MB
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Friday coverage may occasionally extend to 6:00-7:00 p.m.)
