About the job

Kampkreek Dairies makes small-batch cheese at our plant near Blyth. We still run the vat. We need one reliable person to work the make with us, then take ownership of everything after: washing natural rinds, waxing, turning wheels, keeping the plant clean, and keeping the food-safety records honest.

Most wheels leave whole. Cutting and packing happens only when an order requires it.

What you will do

- Work the vat with the management on make days and clean down after
- Wash natural-rind cheeses, wax wheels, turn and inspect aging stock
- Cut, pack, weigh and label cheese only when an order needs it
- Complete daily sanitation, temperature and production records at Blyth
- Do computer entry at Blyth; Wednesday afternoon in Stratford for product movement and related work
- Help with lab samples once we confirm whether testing sits in Blyth or Stratford
- Call the supervisor the same day if a wheel, a cooler, a swab or a record is off

What you need

- Valid driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle (Blyth–Stratford is about 70 km one way)




- Able to start at 7:00 a.m. and work on your feet in a wet, cool plant
- Able to lift 20–25 kg repeatedly
- Able to follow a written procedure and write things down
- Food handler certificate, or willing to get one in the first 30 days
- Eligible to work in Canada

Food plant, dairy, butcher, bakery, brewery or cave experience is a plus. We will train the cheese. We will not train reliability.

Pay and terms

- $23–$26/hour to start; higher if you already fit
- Mileage paid at the 2026 CRA rate for the Stratford trip (73¢/km for the first 5,000 business km, 67¢/km after)
- 3 weeks vacation
- Reports to manager
- 3-month probation
