Are you looking for a casual opportunity to support FSCD funded youth in the community? We are looking for compassionate, reliable team members to provide hourly respite and community aid support services for youth with developmental disabilities. This role focuses on fostering independence, building life skills, promoting inclusion in the community, and having FUN!
Key Responsibilities:
- Support individuals in achieving personal goals and participating in community activities.
- Provide hourly respite services in home and community settings.
- Help individuals access resources, build skills, and expand social connections.
- Model positive communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
- Respond to situations using Mandt techniques and community resources.
- Complete accurate daily documentation and report concerns as required.
- Attend team meetings, support planning sessions, and training as required.
- Provide safe transportation within the City of Leduc.
- Represent the organization professionally in the community.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Current First Aid/CPR and criminal record check with vulnerable sector (or willingness to obtain).
- 16 years of age or older
