Director, SecOps:
On behalf of our Consulting client, Procom is searching for a Director, SecOps for a 6 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto, ON office.

Director, SecOps - Job Description:
This interim role supports a leadership transition and involves leading a small security team while coordinating managed service providers. The Director, SecOps will manage day-to-day cybersecurity operations and drive strategic initiatives to enhance the organization's security posture, focusing on AI and data security.

Director, SecOps - Responsibilities:

- Oversee and lead all SecOps activities, including AI Security Posture Management (AISPM) and Data Security Posture Management (DSPM)
- Implement and maintain security controls across systems
- Coordinate day-to-day performance of managed service providers (MSPs)
- Support CISO in driving and executing cybersecurity, AI governance, and data security strategies
- Manage evaluation, selection, and onboarding of Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and other critical security vendors
- Improve internal risk processes and perform threat assessments
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and prioritize remediation efforts
- Develop cybersecurity playbooks and incident response processes




- Drive activities such as purple team exercises to test capabilities
- Produce and track reporting schemas, KPIs, and KRIs

Director, SecOps - Mandatory Skills:

- Minimum 7 years of experience across multiple cybersecurity domains
- Proven hands-on experience implementing cybersecurity technologies and controls
- Proficient with varying cyber frameworks (NIST, CIS, PCI-DSS, MITRE)
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft E5 security stack
- Experience with AI Security Posture Management (AISPM) and Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) tools
- Demonstrated experience leading vendor evaluation and onboarding lifecycles
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with IT and Data teams

Director, SecOps – Nice-to-Have Skills:

- CISSP certification
- Qualified IT security certification such as GCIA, GCIH, OSCP, or GWAT
- Cloud or AI security credentials such as CCSP or CCSK
- Experience with AI governance and data protection frameworks
- Experience in strategic decision-making and team leadership

Director, SecOps – Assignment Length:
This is a 6 month contract position with the potential to convert to a permanent position.
