We are looking for a hardworking individual who enjoys working outside and is interested in a long term career in the tree industry. The work will be on our tree planting crew and will be very physically demanding at times. Duties will include a variety of physical tasks including digging holes, pickaxing, raking and shoveling mulch, carting and handling 1500 lb rootballs, as well as wheelbarrowing soil and mulch. The typical day is 7-5 but the hours do vary, extra hours are usually available. Will be expected to work some Saturdays. There will also be days when you will be helping with tasks in our tree nursery or going with the stump grinding crew. While it is a seasonal job that will only last two months,



there is potential to be re-hired next spring with opportunities for advancement including running a stump grinding crew and becoming a truck mounted tree spade operator.

If you are rehired next spring, you would be included in our benefits package (for workers over 4months duration) The package includes life insurance of $25000, AD&D; of $25,000, Long Term disability (based on salary) and extended health (includes 80% of prescriptions, some coverage for chiropractor, physiotherapy, etc.) and dental. For seasonal employees the health benefits are paused during the winter months, as per our insurers providers policy. The approximate value of the benefits package is an additional $1.50/hr.

Qualifications:

- Reliable, punctual and responsible, with strong work ethics
- Attentive to detail
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Capable of lifting and moving heavy objects
- Require transport to and from our office/yard
- G drivers license

Assets:

- Experience with equipment (mini excavator, tractor, backhoe, skid steer, zero turn mowers, stump grinder, etc.)
- DZ, ArZ, or AZ Driver’s License

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
