We’re looking for a skilled and reliable woodshop technician to join our team and work in our location in Prescott, On. (This is a temporary position, lasting 2 to 3 months that could lead to permanent for the right candidate)

This role is focused on prepping and customizing architectural wood doors to project specifications. You’ll be working in a fast-paced shop environment, handling tasks like hardware prep, cutting, routing, sanding, and finishing. If you’re good with your hands, know your way around woodworking tools, and take pride in quality craftsmanship, we want to talk to you.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prep architectural wood doors for hardware installation (cutouts, mortising, routing, etc.)
- Customize doors to meet job-specific requirements (sizing, lites, louvers, etc.)
- Operate woodworking machinery including saws, routers, sanders, and CNC (if applicable)
- Read and interpret shop drawings, hardware schedules, and door/frame specs
- Inspect materials for quality and accuracy prior to prepping
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Work efficiently to meet production timelines without sacrificing quality




- Assist with loading, unloading, and movement of doors and materials as needed
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure project requirements are met

Qualifications:

- Experience in woodworking or a similar shop environment preferred
- Familiarity with power tools, woodworking equipment, and measurement tools
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed instructions
- Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Physically fit – able to lift and move heavy doors and materials (50+ lbs)
- Punctual, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Willingness to learn and adapt to recent tasks

Nice to Have (but not required):

- Experience working with architectural wood doors or commercial hardware
- Forklift certification

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
