Position: 3-month Fixed Term Contract

Note: Strong likelihood of contract extension.

Responsibilities

- Provide personal hygiene, oral care, skin care, toileting, bathing, feeding, dressing and grooming.
- Maintain confidentiality concerning residents, staff and organizational information.
- Work within the NSAHO Scope of Practice.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Maintain a safe and clean setting, adhering to facility infection control policies.

Qualifications

- Access to personal vehicle is required (50% travel time).




- Clear Criminal Record check and vulnerable sectors check from within the last 6 months.
- Current Standard First-Aid and CPR certification.
- Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA) certification.
- Successful completion in a CCA/PSW program.
- Registered with the CCA Registry.
- Effective communication, both written and verbal in English.
- Physically fit/able to perform physically demanding job duties.
- Reliable and punctual with a good attendance record.

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
