About the Opportunity

A fast growing construction company in the Greater Saint John area is seeking an experienced Red Seal Finish Carpenter to join its team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in precision, craftsmanship, and quality workmanship. The successful candidate will play an important role in completing the interior details that turn a quality build into a finished home.

About the Role

As a Red Seal Finish Carpenter, you will be responsible for a variety of interior finish-carpentry work on residential construction projects, including modular home builds. The role will also involve finish carpentry and related repairs at company-owned properties as required.

Key Responsibilities

- Install interior trim, including casing, baseboard, crown moulding, and custom trim.
- Install and adjust interior doors, frames, and hardware.
- Install stairs, handrails, guards, and related finish components.
- Install and align kitchen and bathroom cabinetry, built-ins, shelving, and other millwork.
- Complete closet systems, transitions, finishing details, and punch-list items.
- Complete finish carpentry at modular home seams and marriage lines following installation.
- Perform finish carpentry, trim work, and related repairs at company-owned properties.
- Read and interpret plans, drawings,



and measurements to complete work accurately.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail throughout each project.
- Complete required quality-control and project-completion checklists.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, tradespeople, and other members of the construction team.
- Mentor and support less-experienced carpenters and workers who demonstrate the aptitude and attitude to advance in the trade.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Red Seal endorsement and New Brunswick Certificate of Qualification as a Carpenter.
- Proven experience in finish carpentry, preferably in residential construction.
- Strong knowledge of interior finishing, trim, doors, stairs, cabinetry, and millwork.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, plans, and construction drawings.
- Solid measuring, layout, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
- Valid New Brunswick driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.
- Willingness and ability to mentor and train less-experienced workers.
- Dependable, professional, and safety-conscious approach to work.

Working Conditions

- Full-time, year-round employment.




- Work will take place at residential construction sites throughout the Greater Saint John area, with occasional factory-based work and travel between sites.
- Work may be required in a variety of weather conditions.
- Position involves standing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and other physical activities associated with finish carpentry.
- Ability to lift up to approximately 50 lbs.
- CSA-approved footwear and required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn.
