We are seeking individuals for our open Mill Utility positions; The facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, requiring strong coordination and management to ensure seamless operations across shifts.
Pay: $24.00/hour
Responsibilities
- Operate grain handling and processing systems with the ability to fine tune and troubleshoot equipment in the most advanced oat mill in North America.
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of the milling equipment following Standard Operating Procedures, GMPs and health and safety policies.
- Test products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Complete documentation in accordance with all policies and procedures.
- Maintain cleaning standards in all areas of the mill.
- Participate in a respectful work setting where employees can bring forward not only ideas and improvements but concerns of all nature, including safety.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, FDA, CFIA, ISO 22000 and other food safety regulations, with a focus on contamination prevention.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Knowledge of food production is an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Physically capable of lifting 25KG.
- Able to work in a processing environment (steam processing, heights, no dust allergies).
- Able to complete respirator fit testing.
Hours
- Full-time position, 40 hours weekly.
- Monday to Friday, rotating weekly day, evening and night shifts, 8-hour shifts.
- Overtime may be required during peak periods.
