US IP Lawyer

Palmer IP is a company of US and Canadian professionals located in Coal Harbour, Vancouver, BC, providing intellectual property services to an array of university, industry and corporate clients.

We are currently seeking an intermediate to senior US IP lawyer to join our team. We offer a range of challenging work for an independent minded individual, focusing on USPTO trademark prosecution; international trademark portfolio management; preparing and filing trademark applications; opposition and cancellation proceedings; trademark disputes; and trademark enforcement.

Minimum of 5 years of US trademark experience required, including TTAB oppositions and cancellations. The candidate must be qualified to practice trademark law in the US.

This is a full-time in-office position. A hybrid work arrangement may be possible in the future.

US and/or Canadian patent qualifications or experience are an asset. Canadian trademark law experience or qualification is also an asset.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Well versed in computing systems including Worldox, Microsoft Office, Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel;
- Familiarity with the CIPO and USPTO websites;
- Ability to exercise valuable judgment and discretion;
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
- Proactive;
- High attention to detail; and
- A strong work ethic.

We offer a competitive compensation package with an annual salary range of $120,000 – 200,000 based on experience.
