We are currently recruiting for Part Time School Aides to help out in the schools during the lunch hour/nutrition break. We are searching for potential candidates in the Cottam area.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise students during lunch and nutritional breaks
- Monitor student behavior in classrooms, lunch areas, and outdoor/indoor play spaces
- Engage students in indoor/outdoor games and activities
- Use effective strategies to support positive behavior and interaction
- Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students
- Assist in guiding students to make appropriate choices
- Ensure compliance with school board policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality at all times

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Experience working with children and/or youth
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance (required)




- Negative TB test results (required)
- Fit-for-work note may be requested
- Ability to address behavior issues respectfully and effectively
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- First Aid and Epi-Pen training (considered an asset)
- Ability to follow all procedures and policies of the Greater Essex County District School Board

Job Type: Contract

Pay: Up to $17.60 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cottam, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- supervising children: 1 year (required)
