Retail Salesperson – Direct Workwear

Location: Edmonton, AB
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Noon–8:00 PM. Some weekend shifts may be required.
Starting Wage: $18.00/hour

About Us

Direct Workwear is a busy retail store specializing in workwear, safety footwear, PPE and work clothing for people working in the trades and industrial industries.

We are looking for a friendly, outgoing and customer-focused Retail Salesperson who enjoys helping people, takes pride in their work and wants to become part of a excellent team.

What You'll Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Helping customers select the appropriate workwear and safety products based on their job requirements and workplace standards
- Providing friendly, knowledgeable customer service and helping customers find the right products and sizes
- Processing sales through the cash register and accurately handling payments
- Answering incoming phone calls in a professional and helpful manner
- Maintaining a clean, organized and welcoming store
- Receiving and putting out new merchandise
- Keeping an eye on inventory levels and communicating when products need to be replenished
- Assisting with general store duties as required

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will be:

- Friendly, outgoing and comfortable speaking with customers
- Previous retail sales or customer service experience is an asset




- Reliable and punctual
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Comfortable learning about workwear, PPE and safety requirements
- Able to work independently and take ownership of their responsibilities
- Someone who takes pride in keeping the store looking great and providing excellent customer service
- Comfortable working an 8-hour shift on your feet

This is a customer-facing position, so you should be comfortable approaching customers, asking questions to understand their needs, and helping them find the right products. This includes confidently and professionally engaging with women working in the trades and assisting customers in our dedicated women’s workwear section.
