We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista foodcounterassistantto join our team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. This role requires a positive attitude, strong multitasking skills, and a passion for creating a welcoming environment for our customers. Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks using POS systems such as Micros POS.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
- Perform basic food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when needed.
- Follow all food handling and safety procedures to ensure quality and hygiene standards are met.
- Restock supplies and ingredients as necessary to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts.
- Uphold a friendly, professional attitude to foster a positive environment for both customers and team members.
Experience
- Previous barista experience or work in the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided for those new to the role.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing transactions accurately.
- Experience in food service, including serving, food preparation, and food handling, is beneficial.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
