Position Summary

The Wound Care Department Lead is responsible for the overall development, presentation, and success of the Wound Care Department.

This is an independent role suited to someone with a strong retail background, excellent customer service skills, and a natural ability to take initiative and ownership. The successful candidate will work independently while collaborating with their manager, pharmacists, team members, patients, healthcare professionals, and vendors.

Wound care experience is not required. Training and certification will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

- Take ownership of the department's day-to-day operations, presentation, and growth.
- Create engaging merchandising displays and regularly rotate products to highlight new, seasonal, and high-selling items.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with patients, clinics, healthcare professionals, and vendors through proactive communication and outreach.
- Develop strong wound care product knowledge through company-provided training and certification.
- Provide exceptional, knowledgeable, and compassionate customer service.
- Work closely with pharmacists to support continuity of patient care.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels, product organization, stock rotation, and ordering.
- Identify opportunities to improve the department, introduce recent products,



and enhance the patient experience.
- Work with vendors on product education, displays, promotions, and purchasing opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with the manager and team while working independently and managing priorities.

Training

Wound care experience is not required. Full product training and wound care certification will be provided.

We are looking for someone who knows retail, customer service, and how to take ownership. The specialized wound care knowledge can be taught.
