Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Technician to join our team. This role is essential in providing support and care to individuals with autism, helping them navigate daily challenges and promoting their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the lives of those they support through patience, understanding, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

- Provide direct support and intervention to young autistic children, tailoring approaches to meet individual needs.
- Implement evidence-based strategies to promote social skills, communication, and behavioral development.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to create and maintain individualized support plans.
- Conduct assessments and document progress, adjusting interventions as necessary based on ongoing observations.
- Act as an advocate for children and families, providing resources and guidance to navigate services and support networks.
- Facilitate group activities that encourage interaction, play, and learning among peers.
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and structured environment for children.
- Participate in ongoing training and career development to stay current with best practices in autism support.

Experience





- Proven experience working with young children, particularly those with autism or developmental delays.
- Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorders and evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage children and families effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, demonstrating a commitment to quality care.
- Flexibility to accommodate the varied schedules of clients and families, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- A compassionate, patient, and hardworking attitude with a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of children and their families.
