Summary:

Giulia is looking for an experienced cook to join our Elgin location team full time. 3+ years of kitchen experience required, with pizza and pasta experience an asset. A suitable candidate will need to be available for night shifts, weekends, and holidays. You will need a robust work ethic and a positive attitude as well as the ability to work quickly and efficiently in a team environment, maintain cleanliness, and ensure food is up to standard.

Starting wage is $19-23/ hour with room for growth, + weekly tip out, staff meal while you work, and employee discounts at the other restaurants in our group.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and execute menu items consistently according to restaurant standards
- Work assigned stations during service, including pasta, pizza, garde manger and/or prep




- Complete daily prep efficiently and maintain appropriate par levels
- Maintain a clean, organized, and service-ready station
- Practice proper food handling, storage, labeling, and sanitation procedures
- Work with urgency and composure during busy services
- Communicate clearly with chefs and fellow cooks throughout prep and service
- Assist other stations and team members when needed
- Maintain kitchen equipment with care
- Receive, organize, and properly store ingredients and deliveries
- Contribute to a respectful, collaborative, and craft-focused kitchen environment

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a cook or similar role in a restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent cooking skills with a passion for creating high-quality dishes.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
