Location: Edmonton, AB

Scona Electric Ltd. is a electric motor rewind shop looking for a dependable, hardworking Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys staying active, takes pride in maintaining an organized workspace, and works well independently as well as with a team.

Schedule

- Full-time: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Overtime available as required

Responsibilities

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Prepare electrical equipment for shipment, including packaging and securing loads
- Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift and overhead crane
- Organize and maintain warehouse and shop inventory
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation
- Keep the warehouse and shop clean, safe, and organized
- Assist with general warehouse and shop duties as required
- help with deliveries and pick ups when required

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

- Previous shipping and receiving or warehouse experience
- Forklift operating experience (required)
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely handle industrial equipment




- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
- Robust organizational skills and attention to detail
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract
- Warehouse organization experience is considered an asset

Training & Safety

- Overhead crane training will be provided
- The successful candidate must supply CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots
- Scona Electric will provide all other required personal protective equipment (PPE)
