We are looking for a reliable, skilled Building Maintenance Technician with carpentry experience to join our team at a downtown Winnipeg office building.
This is a hands-on position responsible for maintaining the building, completing repairs, keeping common areas in valuable condition, and responding to day-to-day maintenance needs. The ideal candidate is a practical problem-solver who takes pride in quality workmanship and understands the importance of maintaining a safe, professional environment for tenants and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs
- Respond to tenant maintenance requests and building service calls
- Assist with preventative maintenance and routine building inspections
- Maintain common areas, service areas and mechanical spaces in a clean and orderly condition
- Identify building issues and recommend appropriate repairs or solutions
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report significant issues to management
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in commercial building maintenance or a related trade
- Strong carpentry skills and practical construction experience
- Ability to perform general repairs and maintenance independently
- Good knowledge of common hand and power tools
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Able to work independently
- Physically capable of lifting, carrying, climbing ladders and performing hands-on maintenance tasks

Pay: $24.00-$25.00 per hour
