Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Grower to join our production team. This role will be responsible for executing daily hands-on cultivation tasks across all plant life stages—from propagation to harvest—while maintaining strict adherence to Valuable Production Practices (GPP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily plant care across propagation, vegetative, and flowering stages, including cloning, transplanting, topping, pruning, defoliating, and trellising.
- Monitor, prepare, and apply irrigation and nutrient solution mixes according to scheduled feed programs and growth phases.
- Inspect canopy daily for plant health, nutrient deficiencies, pathogens, and pest pressures; implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) protocols.
- Assist with environmental control monitoring, including temperature, relative humidity, light intensity, CO2 levels, and Vapour Pressure Deficit (VPD).
- Execute harvest procedures, including plant cutting, bucking, weight recording, and transferring material to climate-controlled drying rooms.
- Log all plant movements, batches, material inputs, waste, and routine maintenance accurately into seed-to-sale tracking software.
- Clean, sanitize,
and sterilize cultivation rooms, irrigation lines, tools, and equipment between crop cycles to prevent cross-contamination.
- Complete batch records, daily checklists, and operational documentation.
- Ad hoc duties as needed.
- Must be available after-hours and on weekends.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 1–3+ years of commercial cultivation experience.
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Horticulture, Agricultural Science, Plant Biology, or equivalent commercial experience.
- Security & Regulatory: Must pass a standard police background check.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with commercial seed-to-sale tracking systems, automated fertigation equipment, and climate controls.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of plant physiology, nutrient management, IPM, and GPP requirements.
- Physical Demands: Ability to perform physical labor including standing for long periods, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in hot/humid room environments.
Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
