Are you a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist who loves working with children and families? Are you looking for a role that offers flexibility, independence, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child’s everyday environment?

Sparks of Speech is growing, and we’d love to welcome another Paediatric SLP to our team!

We provide family-centred speech, language, literacy, and communication services to children in the comfort of their homes and communities. We’re looking for a compassionate, collaborative, and enthusiastic clinician who enjoys building strong relationships with children and caregivers while providing high-quality, evidence-based care.

What You’ll Do

As part of our team, you will:

- Provide consultations, screenings, assessments, and evidence-based intervention for children with a variety of speech, language, literacy, and communication needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans using SMART goals, clinical expertise, evidence-based practice, and relevant best-practice guidelines
- Build meaningful relationships with children and their families while providing caregiver education, coaching, and home strategies
- Monitor progress and adapt therapy plans as each child’s needs evolve
- Collaborate with CDAs, SLPs, OTs, families, educators, and other professionals as appropriate
- Provide weekly or biweekly supervision to Communication Disorders Assistants (CDAs)
- Independently manage your caseload and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation using our electronic charting system
- Maintain documentation and clinical practices in accordance with CASLPO standards

Additional Training That Would Be an Asset

Experience or additional training in any of the following would be considered a strong asset:

- Orton-Gillingham or structured literacy approaches
- PROMPT
- Motor speech disorders, including Childhood Apraxia of Speech
- Speech sound disorders
- Literacy and reading intervention
- Autism and neurodiversity-affirming practice

These are considered assets and are not required — we welcome clinicians with different areas of experience and expertise!

Availability

We are looking for someone who can offer:

- Evening availability during the week
- Availability for at least one weekend day
- Flexibility to provide in-home/community-based services to paediatric clients

Qualifications

Applicants must have:

- A Master’s/Graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or an equivalent recognized program
- Registration in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
- Professional liability insurance
- A recent Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Reliable transportation for community/in-home visits
