Duties
- Safely operate tow trucks to recover, transport, and deliver vehicles in various conditions and locations
- Respond quickly to roadside assistance calls, providing professional customer service with a positive attitude
- Conduct basic mechanical inspections of vehicles and perform minor repairs or troubleshooting as needed
- Use forklifts or other equipment to load or unload vehicles when required
- Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, including times, locations, and vehicle details
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure personal safety and that of colleagues and customers
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and emergency responders during incidents
Experience
- Proven experience operating commercial trucks or tow trucks in a professional setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and automotive repair techniques
- Customer service experience demonstrating professionalism and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving license preferred
- Certification or experience with forklift operation is a plus
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working outdoors in various weather conditions
