Job Summary

Z’gamok Mining (ZM), a subsidiary of Z’gamok Enterprises Inc., an Indigenous business fully owned by Sagamok Anishnawbek, provides a diverse range of services across multiple business segments including maintenance, and underground development and construction mining.

Z’gamok Mining is recruiting a hard-working, self-motivated individual with a proven record of safety and reliability to fill the position of Support Miner.

The Support Miner will be responsible for supporting underground structures and passages by preparing faces, drilling and ground maintenance, including the supply of materials and supplies.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Advancing services such as air, water, and ventilation systems

· Support the Install of ground supports with jackleg and stoper drills

· Scaling loose rock and maintaining ground support

· Complete daily paperwork accurately including timesheets, pre-operational inspections; ect.

· Assist with general labor duties when needed to complete mining projects

· Comply with all company policies and procedures





· Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations

· Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

· Valid Class G Drivers License

· Registered Underground Hard Rock Miners Common Core #770010

· u0004 – Drill Rock, u0005 – Rock Bolt Ground, u0011 – Extend Services

· Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)

· Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team

· Ability to follow safe working procedures

· Understand and use the 5-Point Safety system and understand the SLAM System of Safety

Job Specifications

· Regular work hours are as per contractual requirements

· Overtime after forty-four (44) hours
