Area Cleaning Supervisor – North York to London - Full-Time

Generations Cleaning is seeking an experienced, motivated Area Cleaning Supervisor to support our growing portfolio of accounts across the Greater Toronto Area to Western Ontario. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who excels in coaching cleaning teams, managing multiple sites, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.

About the Role

As the Area Cleaning Supervisor, you will oversee cleaning staff working across multiple commercial sites within a defined geographic territory. You’ll build strong relationships with cleaners, ensure sites meet company standards, and support operational needs across your assigned accounts.

Your primary coverage will span North York, Toronto, Mississauga, Hamilton, Oakville, Georgetown, with monthly travel to the London and Barrie area. This is a dynamic, hands-on role that requires independent decision-making, strong communication skills, and a passion for supporting frontline teams. Some evening or flexible shifts may be required based on site schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Quality Control

- Conduct regular site visits to evaluate cleaning quality and compliance with company standards.
- Provide on-the-spot coaching and support to staff as needed.
- Address client concerns promptly and professionally.

Team Leadership & Training

- Train new hires on proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
- Assist with account start-ups, including onboarding teams and setting up initial workflows.




- Support cleaners through ongoing mentorship and problem-solving.

Operations & Logistics

- Maintain regular communication with cleaners and management regarding staffing, issues, and site updates.
- Deliver supplies, equipment, and materials to various locations.
- Document site visits, training sessions, and performance updates.
- Assist with scheduling adjustments and coverage planning when necessary.

Qualifications

- 2+ years of experience supervising cleaners or managing crews across multiple locations (commercial cleaning industry strongly preferred).
- Solid understanding of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel regularly across the Durham region (Scarborough to Oshawa/Clarington).
- Willingness to travel to London & Barrie areas once monthly (expenses covered).
- Valid Ontario G-class driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Able to work occasional evenings and flexible hours based on operational needs.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to high-quality service delivery.
