About Endurance Taekwondo

Endurance Taekwondo operates four locations across Metro Vancouver and has trained more than 2,500 families. Our team includes over 25 Black Belt instructors, and we hold 330+ five-star Google reviews. We have been voted #1 Martial Arts School in the Tri-Cities for ten consecutive years.

Position summary

We are hiring a full time Taekwondo Instructor for our Port Moody location at 2302 Clarke St, the flagship of our four schools. The instructor team at Port Moody is led by Master Dexter.

This is a full-time, in-person teaching position with an hourly wage of $30–35, extended health benefits, and employer-paid professional development.

Responsibilities

- Instruct classes for students aged 4 through adult, from our Little Ninjas program through advanced Black Belt levels
- Maintain a positive, disciplined training environment and manage a class of up to 20 students
- Deliver our belt curriculum and prepare students for testing
- Communicate with parents about student progress
- Support belt tests, tournaments, and community events.

Required qualifications

- Kukkiwon Black Belt certification, 1st Dan or higher
- Two or more years of experience instructing Taekwondo classes
- Ability to project clearly and hold the attention of a class of children
- First Aid/CPR-C certification, or willingness to obtain it — we will direct you to a course
- Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, as required for work with minors in British Columbia

Schedule

This position is scheduled around the hours our classes run.

- Weekday afternoons and evenings: 3:30 PM – 9:00 PM
- Saturdays: 8:45 AM – 3:30 PM
- Total: 30–34 hours per week

Teaching is the core of the role. The same hours also cover supporting the head instructor, leading and assisting at events, and building relationships in the community.

Endurance observes two academy closure weeks each year, in mid-summer and over Christmas and New Year.
